Many of the finest players in the world have played these instruments including Andres Segovia, John Williams, and the Romeros. This particular guitar was originally owned by the great Polish guitarist Ivor Mairants (1908-1998), and was used in his famous recording in 1975 of the Rodrigo "Concierto de Aranjuez" which sold over one million copies. It is currently being re-polished by Yuris Zeltins, making this an extremely collectible guitar that will be in near-mint condition.
In terms of sound, this guitar has superb separation of voices when playing chordal passages, which is a fairly typical feature of Fleta`s guitars. It has excellent balance, volume and has a haunting, mysterious sound. In spite of the substantial neck, this guitar is easy to manage even when playing the most difficult passages.
