Maison guitars where hand-built in a small workshop in Korea. Maison guitars where finished to a very high standard and often contained high quality woods and hardware. Later the Maison company was taken over by a major Korean company called ‘Yoojin‘ in the early 90’s. Yoojin does not exist as a company anymore but they still made a series of Maison guitars after they took the company over. Maison also built guitars for Columbus and Photogenic. Both very rare guitar brands. Their later Gibson copies were favored by their owners for the high quality of their guitars. Now a days Maison guitars are becoming very sparse and difficult to find and their values are gradually rising.
